The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM), is a professional body dedicated to promoting and advancing the science and practice of engineering in Malaysia. IEM plays a central role in nurturing young engineers by providing platforms for professional growth, networking, and technical skill-building through its student chapters and activities nationwide.

Xiamen University (XMU), founded in 1921 by Mr. Tan Kah Kee, a renowned overseas Chinese entrepreneur and philanthropist in Southeast Asia, was the first Chinese higher educational institution established by an overseas Chinese. Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is the first Chinese university branch campus in Malaysia, offers world-class education, diverse programs, and a vibrant multicultural learning environment. The establishment of XMUM sets new heights in the areas of cooperation and exchange in education between China and Malaysia. XMUM aspires to become a university with a distinct global outlook, featuring first-class teaching and research, and embracing cultural diversity.

IEM-XMUM Student Section was established in 2023 and is committed to fostering the professional development of engineering students through industry engagement and experiential learning. In line with this vision, the student section actively organizes events to enhance students' academic knowledge and professional exposure. Recognizing the importance of bridging theoretical concepts with practical applications.
